Only a short distance away: the Plose and Rosskopf ski resorts
In the proximity of the Hotel Kaserhof there are the Plose and Rosskopf resorts, where you find more than 10 km long toboggan runs. These are not only exceptionally beautiful slopes, but simultaneously also the longest in Italy. The highlight is the lighting with floodlights, so you do not have to give up the fun in the evenings. The toboggan run in the Rosskopf ski resort has received a special award. In 2011 it was declared by the ADAC as winner run and is thus regarded as one of the best toboggan runs in the German-speaking area.

Sledding in the Eisack Valley at the full moon is a very special event for your family vacation. The tracks are floodlit or partly illuminated with torches and so there is a special atmosphere. In the Eisack Valley you do not need to have your own equipment to glide through the white winter landscape. Along the toboggan runs sledges can be hired, so you also can opt for a small trip spontaneously. Along the runs you find cozy pubs and hostelries inviting for a stop. From here you can enjoy the beautiful view of the mountains and let your mind wander.
Sledding in the Eisack Valley: the most beautiful tracks
The best known toboggan runs in the Eisack Valley include Rudi Run 1 and 2. At a height of up to 2,084 meters there are totally 9.9 km best toboggan runs. A particularly family friendly route is the family toboggan Villanderer Alm. It is located at an altitude of over 2,000 meters and has a length of 3.7 km.
